Tasks-
Open the link
- Copy the lists in your spiral and complete the directions a,b,c.
- Copy the table that is at the very bottom of the link into your spiral.
- Read the introduction and Challenge to Activity 58, “Follow the Energy,” in your Student Book.
- Do the procedure.
- In your spiral, Do the analysis questions 1 and 2 and the follow-up in the link.

- Create a table to record your observations about the properties of the materials before and after the reaction. HINT before creating your table read through the entire procedure before making the table so you will know what you will need to record. You could watch the video once before making your table as well.
- Complete the Procedure and record all of your observations of the materials before and after the reaction.
- Copy and answer Analysis questions 1a,b,2 and 3 in home spiral.

AC alternating current-an electric current that reverses its direction many times a second at regular intervals, typically used in power supplies.
Neutron-a subatomic particle of about the same mass as a proton but without an electric charge, present in all atomic nuclei except those of ordinary hydrogen.
DC direct current- an electrical current that flows in one direction. A battery is a good example of a DCpower supply
