Flood plain- is a generally flat area of land next to a river or stream.
Long shore current- is a geological process that consists of the transportation of sediments (clay, silt, pebbles, sand and shingle) along a coast parallel to the shoreline.
Petri dish-a shallow, circular, transparent dish with a flat lid, used for the culture of microorganisms.
Delta- is a landform created by deposition of sediment that is carried by a river as the flow leaves its mouth and enters slower-moving or stagnant water.

Concentration- is the ratio of solute in a solution to either solvent or total solution. Concentration usually is expressed in terms of mass per unit volume.
Dilution- the process of reducing the concentration of a solute in solution, usually simply by mixing with more solvent.
Resistance (bacterial)- The ability of bacteria and other microorganisms to resist the effects of an antibiotic to which they were once sensitive
