Germ theory of disease- microorganisms known as pathogens or "germs" can lead to disease. These small organisms, too small to see without magnification, invade humans, other animals, and other living hosts.
Lithosphere-the rigid outer part of the earth, consisting of the crust and upper mantle.
Cell theory- living organisms are made up of cells, they are the basic unit of all organisms, all cells come from pre-existing cells.
Vaccination-a preparation containing [usually] killed or weakened microorganisms (as bacteria or viruses) given usually by injection to increase protection against a particular disease.

Geological time-Paleontologist usually refer to time periods of thousands, millions, and billions of years as geologic time.
Cardiovascular system- conveys blood through vessels to and from all parts of the body, carrying nutrients and oxygen to tissues and removing carbon dioxide and other wastes.
Continental drift-the gradual movement of the continents across the earth's surface through geological time.
Cellular respiration- a set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into a high-energy molecule, and then release waste products.
