Lincs 27
Stratus- low-level clouds characterized by horizontal layering with a uniform base. The word "stratus" comes from the Latin prefix "strato-", meaning "layer".
Cumulus-clouds which have flat bases and are often described as "puffy", "cotton-like" or "fluffy" in appearance. The Latin cumulo-, meaning heap or pile.
Greenhouse effect- problem caused by increased quantities of gases such as co2 in the air. These gases trap the heat from the sun, and cause a gradual rise in the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere.
Anemometer-an instrument for measuring the speed of the wind, or of any current of gas.
