Students are introduced to the History of the Germ Theory of Disease.
7th grade- Continental Drift - plate tectonics:
Students will continue study of The Theory of Plate Tectonics and how it impacts[shapes] the earth and affects humans. We will also explore Scientists Who have not been recognized for their achievements throughout history. If time allows we will explore Topo maps [Topography maps] and how to use them.

Flood plain- is a generally flat area of land next to a river or stream
.Long shore current- is a geological process that consists of the transportation of sediments (clay, silt, pebbles, sand and shingle) along a coast parallel to the shoreline
.Petri dish-a shallow, circular, transparent dish with a flat lid, used for the culture of microorganisms
.Delta- is a landform created by deposition of sediment that is carried by a river as the flow leaves its mouth and enters slower-moving or stagnant water.
